You Don’t Know JavaScript: A Beginner’s Intro to JS
Simply put, three things make up a webpage: structure, styling (design and layout), and interaction. While HTML deals with the structure and CSS styling, it is JavaScript that powers user interaction on the web.
It is JavaScript that makes your webpage come alive, enabling it to respond to events and user activities thereby making user interaction even more interesting. It’s a language on the rise, a wave to be a part of. It is the beauty of a webpage.
In this workshop, we shall learn JavaScript fundamentals (variables, variable scope, arrays, loops, functions, etc) and then proceed to build upon our knowledge of the basics to write basic JavaScript code that can interact with the web browser and manipulate webpage layout and styles.
